2009 KidsFest Shellharbour was overwhelmingly successful with over 3,500 people participating in 110 activities across 64 festival sites around Shellharbour City.  The 2009 program featured highlights, such as the Pram Parade along the Shellharbour Foreshore, Cow Milking Demonstrations and The World’s Biggest Playgroup at Blackbutt Reserve.

Also the very popular Baby Rave and Early Childhood Expo at Albion Park, the Mother’s Day Picnic at the Illawarra Light Rail Museum and Ride a Train and Touch a Plane at HARS were all well attended.

New events like the Warilla North Celebration, coordinated by the Warilla North Community Centre and Parents As Teachers, enhanced the appeal of KidsFest Shellharbour.

Businesses with child friendly practices were recognised through the KidsFest PlaySpot program.
